The Party part ll

We went over to Laura’s after breakfast. The hotel has changed their breakfast lay out, so the egg boiling machine, has less distance to travel to the kitchen, for a good clean, when it all goes horribly wrong with cracked eggs making a complete mess in the container.

The kitchen door is just to the left and the breakfast area now boasts a cool cabinet! This has allowed more covers to be put into place, thus avoiding, I’m sure they hope, the queue that did very rarely build up during the peak season!

Laura decorated the cake and prepared all sorts of dips and Hannah, myself and Mary with Safi and Zach, had lunch just over the road. No one else in the place!

So to the farm for the party and the children had a wild time in the snow to begin.

And some of the adults! They then came indoors to decorate cup cakes, a clever idea that both boys and girls found fun.

No wonder the soft drinks were terribly PC, and un fizzy; the sugar hit from one of these would send me to the ceiling these days! So presents unwrapped, cake cut and eaten and we headed back to the hotel. Loads more snow forecast for tomorrow (actually today AND it’s here!) so for now more party pictures while we ponder Sunday and what we shall do!

Malcolm and Mary

Malcolm worked for LWT. Mary worked for TRL. They live near Camberley in Surrey and did achieve their life long ambition to visit New Zealand. They have two daughters Laura and Hannah and two grandchildren Zach & Safi. Having done the big trip they then went to Canada, which was amazing. Scroll down it’s all here. They have visited Venice that they both so fell in love with in 2009 again. And recently returned to Lefkada for one week in glorious sunshine. Where next? Well, Canada is calling again in 2019; this time including Alaska. So stay tuned if you enjoy the ups and downs of travelling.

  1. That looks very cold. Coldest night of the year here but no more snow. Not sure if we will get out of our road – the slush of yesterday has become a sheet of ice. Mind you they have decided to shut the golf course – wimps! – so I will have to think of something to do whilst Senior Management is at the Chapel. Have fun.
