Now where was I was? Ah yes, Lorraine Kelly serving at breakfast time. I did try to sneak a picture but failed. Maybe in May, if she is still there; meanwhile you’ll have to make do with a shot of the meringues and cream available but which, I promise, I still have not sampled. Also below is a shot of a mail box I have been meaning to take for some time; well this is pretty much cow country, for sure.
We drove over to Laura’s and the roads up on the road across from Gruyères to Orsonnens were pretty snow covered and then we all departed for the restaurant by the lake.
Needless to say we ate inside! Lunch was a happy family affair and Safi’s appetite is second to none.
So, there we are. Back to Laura’s for a final hour and then off in the fog and the rain to Geneva. Don’t bother buying a bag of crisps in the airport; I worked out on the plane ✈️ that small normal bag had cost me the princely sum of £3-85. Yes, read it and weep………….£3-85. The flight was fine except that when they dropped the screens down, the moving map with the little plane flying along over Europe didn’t appear. And even though I did enquire to its whereabouts, it never appeared for the whole of the flight.
That’s your lot folks until Prague in April. Hope you enjoyed the little trip. And one final shot of that lovely view from the restaurant. I didn’t dare carry on to work out on the plane the cost of that meal, having worked out the cost of the crisps. I figured the meal could remain a mystery and was probably best left that way.
Thanks for reading. Comments as always very welcome.
