Tuesday off to the end of the island: it’s Vasiliki and beyond!

We travelled down to Cape Dukato which is the farthest southern tip of the island today. Last night we saw a new couple arrive back in their car, while we were eating, they purposefully strode to the lift and entered. We gave them four minutes. They had gone into the lift that goes down to the beach, they re emerged and walked off to the right lift to take them up to reception and the rooms. Maybe you had to be there but just such a funny incident.

We passed many way side shrines, some of the pick:

They are many and varied

Some grey and foreboding.

I have always had the same fascination for way side shrines as I developed for New Zealand mail boxes.

We didn’t get back to the hotel till about five and headed straight for the poolside bar. The lovely staff were there. Tassos our dinner waiter and the lovely reception lady and the chef, names to be established.

Tomorrow may be another lazy day but we shall need staff, you always need staff!
