I don’t believe it!

The tables for the hotel restaurant are by the pool and overlooking the sea.

Mary very happy standing by to tuck in!

We both had sea bass, enjoyed a bottle of rose, paid the bill and that’s when the trouble started. For once our timing was perfect. Distant flashes, the wind increased and as we stepped into the lift to ascend to the room the heavens opened. We shall never know what happened to the poor people who were still eating. The lightening was all around us and the rain intense. Kept the television off because the power kept coming and going. Malcolm learnt much to his chagrin this morning that last night had been the finals of this miss Italy competition on the box. It may take him a few days to recover from this disaster.

This morning it finally stopped allowing us time to visit nearby Sivota for lunch. A very pretty little port with many English yacht type people prominading.

Turned out to be nice weather for ducks.

Fish! Did someone say fish?

A simple Greek salad, some Greek beans (gigantes) and a plate of the best chips in the world. We paid the bill, got into the car and for the second time thanked our timing gods, who must be looking over us (well this is Greece!) as the rain slowly began to spot on the windscreen.

Back to the hotel, where we simply “chilled” away the afternoon as it poured down.

Unfortunately the balcony is not rain resistant.

It is now late afternoon, the sun has come out but for how long? Ah, well, we understand the weather at home was very similar today but given the choice I think we will stick with the view and prepare ourselves for dinner. Well someone’s got to do it, be fare!

We will get a picture of the car honest.

Take care M & M.
