Just two more sleeps!

Can you believe it? We can’t , that’s for sure. One image from yesterday:

Mr McEvoy and Mr Treen. A little work in photo shop will brighten my shadowy face. No, no I hear you cry leave it like that!

The day was spent flying with Singapore airlines. Now I am not going to say a word about the stunning looks of the stewardesses because I will get into trouble with ‘she who must be’, so any fellas who want the inside story just email me. Suffice to say there was a point when three of them had gathered round one trolley and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Smooth flight, some amazing scenery as we flew over Australia for hours,(why didn’t I get the camera out?)and great scenes on the approach to Singapore. A car picked us up at the airport and transported us to the last bed of the holiday.

The last bed!
The last bed!
I don't think Matt, our lovely plumber back home would be too impressed by the grouting! Time for a refurb methinks.

On the way we gained three hours: so as I type this at 7pm, it is 10pm in Australia. Another self inflicted LONG day but look at the shots Mary has already got.

Just round the corner from the hotel. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Well it is called 'the city of flowers' so there will be no holding Mary back for 24 hours.

Oh yes and when we landed, after our 7 hour flight, the stewardess kindly informed us it was 89 degrees outside. Anyway our last day tomorrow before we climb aboard Singapore airlines, once more, for a 14 hour flight to London and Treen Towers.
Thanks for reading, hope we have some final great shots to show you. Better go before we fall face down in our noodles, which reminds me to tell you tomorrow what the sign on the wall in the toilets on the Milford Sound boat said. Suspense, don’t you love it?
Take care M & M.

Malcolm and Mary

Malcolm worked for LWT. Mary worked for TRL. They live near Camberley in Surrey and did achieve their life long ambition to visit New Zealand. They have two daughters Laura and Hannah and two grandchildren Zach & Safi. Having done the big trip they then went to Canada, which was amazing. Scroll down it’s all here. They have visited Venice that they both so fell in love with in 2009 again. And recently returned to Lefkada for one week in glorious sunshine. Where next? Well, Canada is calling again in 2019; this time including Alaska. So stay tuned if you enjoy the ups and downs of travelling.

  1. We will…There is a category 4 tropical storm sort of heading our way (200km+) the high might keep it away…W’ll just batten down the hatches..It must be cricket finals time!!!! We’ll miss the nightly view….Has 5 weeks REALLY gone?…Enjoy the 14 hours of sleep and free booze aboard the flight you have both earned it!..Luv M&S xxx

    1. 3-23pm and back in the hotel. We made the botanical gardens, just fantastic as Mike predicted until the heavens opened followed by the thunderstorm. We lost the will to carry on in the pouring rain. Small restaurant we had lunch at in the gardens gave us some plastic sheets to wear. Very fetching! We walked forever and finally found a taxi. As I said earlier if the cabin crew are anything like the flight out here, sleep may never come into it!! Malcolm

  2. You naughty boy!!! You’ll love the botanical gardens ; loads of exotic plants to be photographed there. Enjoy!

  3. Glad to see you arrived safe and SOUND in Singapore…Just in case you missed it…….England got blown out of the World Cup by Bangladesh…..The Brit Papers (as always) are hanging the team out to dry….I’ve offen wondered whether these un-Starched morons whom write the prose have ever played the game themselves…I’ll die wondering…Anyway…Grout aside…enjoy the heat and the rest…Shop in A/C malls and sleep…sleep ..sleep…All the way home…….SAFELY..M&S…We followed you on Flightradar…Must get out more!….

    1. I didn’t even know Flightradar existed, just looked it up. That could become a dangerous hobby. Best you do try and get out! Poor England but it is only a game for goodness sake, when all said and done. Just feel very sorry for the folk (barmy army?) who spent lots of dosh getting there to watch them. Now what do they do? This place is humming. Might be very pleased with 14 hours in my own little world on the plane after today! Take care lovely people. M & M
