We start with a word of warning to the would-be traveller, mind your credit card! A phone call from Natwest at 10-30pm last night, informs me that someone in the uk the night before has tried to use my credit card on line, from a uk computer, to buy goods from Zara.com. As I told them the dates of where I would be and WHEN they blocked the transaction knowing I was in New Zealand. They have also blocked the card completely and the bit the poor girl on the other end of the line, with a terrible sounding cold, couldn’t quite get into her head was that sending me out a new card was not going to be much use to me. “You will receive the new card within 5 to 7 working days.” I assume she thought I would be impressed. “Take as long as you like,” I said,”We’re not home till March 12th.” There was no response to this as obviously there was no pre-prepared answer to that one on her crib sheet! Anyway good to know they were checking, I guess and I did call them straight back to double check it had been Natwest in the first place.

Malcolm worked for LWT. Mary worked for TRL. They live near Camberley in Surrey and did achieve their life long ambition to visit New Zealand. They have two daughters Laura and Hannah and two grandchildren Zach & Safi. Having done the big trip they then went to Canada, which was amazing. Scroll down itβs all here. They have visited Venice that they both so fell in love with in 2009 again. And recently returned to Lefkada for one week in glorious sunshine. Where next? Well, Canada is calling again in 2019; this time including Alaska. So stay tuned if you enjoy the ups and downs of travelling. View all posts by Malcolm and Mary
Oh dear, not nice at all. Keep smiling and carry on!
