No seriously this fan was as good as it got!

Martin very kindly drove us round all day to various sights and beaches.
We went to a waterfall that wasn’t there. But the journey there was scenic.

The Shakespear Nature Reserve track to the non waterfall.

We saw loads of beaches and can now really understand why they moved here.

Beautiful and just so uncrowded.

A more detailed report tomorrow I hope, of course, reliant on a wi-fi connection.

Patterns in the sand.

A safe harbour.

When you have been driven, and god bless him (Martin) for it, but you tend not to be reading the map and making a note of where you are. Anyway tomorrow off to Coromandel. Back to driving ourselves. Oh,er,Mrs!

Thanks to Martin the beach picture is Matakatia Beach and the harbour is called Stillwater, which looking at it, it would be wouldn’t it? (Posted from Rotorua now we have wi-fi again!)

Malcolm and Mary

Malcolm worked for LWT. Mary worked for TRL. They live near Camberley in Surrey and did achieve their life long ambition to visit New Zealand. They have two daughters Laura and Hannah and two grandchildren Zach & Safi. Having done the big trip they then went to Canada, which was amazing. Scroll down it’s all here. They have visited Venice that they both so fell in love with in 2009 again. And recently returned to Lefkada for one week in glorious sunshine. Where next? Well, Canada is calling again in 2019; this time including Alaska. So stay tuned if you enjoy the ups and downs of travelling.
